Large Installations - The Park at Walnut Creek, 1995
Another community-built playscape, this was created for a north Austin homeowners' association. It is located adjacent to their pool and is divided roughly into areas for little kids and big kids (although the adults seem to like to use it after hours!). There are grassy hills with underground rooms, an earth berm amphitheater focused onto a trellised stage area, a play fort with tire climber, a teeter-go-round, a cableglide coming off a larger superstructure with chain-, poly barrel-, and tire climbers, a log and plank vertical "rappelling" wall, an overhead ringwalk, a talk tube, secret passages, a vertical tube climber, a triple tire swing, climbing ropes, low "kitchen" counter, sand chute, extensive sand areas, and shrubbery.
